In past ten years, China’s economic is a hot dish in the world, everyone want to do business with Chinese people, international corp. wants to open factory in China, and people in China getting richer and richer. All It just happened in past ten years or so, when people in China, and the government in China getting richer and powerful, they simple playing things and policy on they own rule; by time to time they are avoiding the international rule and always defend as “third world country” and “own country policy, foreign can’t involve”.
When china getting richer and richer, more factory was builded, more car and energy was consumed, and more national resource was used. That is an alarm of the earth, that is the biggest thread ever of earth’s life. Think about it, over 1.2 billion people country, even only 1% people getting rich, 60% people live in city, and 90% people don’t what pollution is, it will just make the things get worst.
In 22 March 2010, Hong Kong is experiencing the highest air pollution index since recorded(so far), it hit 400, according to US’s guideline, when the index hit higher than 300 it will status as Hazardous and what that mean is life threading. I was born in Hong Kong, and I live in Hong Kong about 21 years, since I came back from Ottawa Canada, I suffering runny nose and allergy, some of the reason is because of the quality of air. Also in last year, some travel magazine and some countries’ travel guide to status Hong Kong suffering air pollution, and warned citizen try to avoid to go to Hong Kong, that is serious problem, and Hong Kong government doesn’t know how to fix it.
Most pollution is come from mainland China, not only in the Guangdong province, the pollution is also come from more far north province. The reason is when the weather in winter and spring, the pollution from far north will fly throw all the way to Hong Kong by the wind from north pole. Hong Kong can’t do anything about it, because that is nature, but we can do it on the root, which mean we should control it on the human fact. Unfortunately people in China are lack of pollution education and they only have money on their mind, so the pollution is getting worse and worse. China government also hide the fact at the same time, so no one knows the fact in China. That is a dilemma of Hong Kong, UN and the environment association.
So please thing about it, people in Hong Kong, that is a typical example of Chinese government how to treat citizen and the small, far south city, the fact is you won’t get any good things from them, and you only get some bad result from them and we can’t avoid it. People in Hong Kong please just rethink and stand up to against what Hong Kong should stand for.
